Prayer Requests for the Week of February 23

Please pray…

…for widows in war-torn Islamic nations who are isolated and have nowhere to turn. Pray that Christian women would be compelled to introduce them to Jesus, the One who is a husband to the husbandless.

…for the safe and expedient release of Leah Sharibu. She was kidnapped by the Boko Haram in Nigeria two years ago this month. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen her as she endures this suffering for His Name. May Leah’s unwavering faith in Jesus touch her captors.

…for any Muslim woman who has been coerced by her husband or another relative into having an abortion. While this isn’t a condoned Islamic practice, it does still occur. Please pray that these women would truly encounter the redemptive love of Jesus, the One who gladly gives beauty for ashes and honor instead of shame.
